CLAIRE COOKS APPLE CRUMBLE

WHAT YOU NEED
100g margarine or butter
½ cup sugar
½ tsp cinnamon, optional
1 cup flour
½ cup rolled oats
4 apples
½ cup water

MAKE THE CRUMBLE TOPPING
Wash your hands and use your fingers to rub the margarine, sugar, cinnamon, flour and rolled oats together.
The mixture needs to look a bit like breadcrumbs.

 
 

PREPARE THE FRUIT
Peel, core and slice the apples.

ASSEMBLE AND BAKE
Place the fruit and water in a 30 x 20cm baking dish. Top with the crumble mixture, do not press down.  Bake at 180oC for 20-30 minutes or until crunchy and golden brown. Serves 4.
