Stef introduces a programme about pets, and Brian rushes off excitedly. He returns with a box containing his stick insect, Kirsty, but Dan crushingly points out that it is in fact just a stick. Brian will have none of this, and eventually an infuriated Dan grabs the twig and smashes it against the desk, breaking it in half. Brian is inconsolable, until Stef points out that he has now got two baby stick insects.
