Get on your jandals for friday 5th December its National Jandal Day and is also the Surf Life Saving national appeal day!!

Jandals just immediately bring to mind good old Kiwi summer holidays with plenty of BBQs, fun at the beach and of course the Surf Lifeguards. Where would we be without the NZ Surf Lifeguards doing an awesome job at keeping our beaches safe for summer fun?

Did you know that NZ has 15,000kms of coastline and that last year over 1,680 lives were saved by Surf Lifeguards?
Though NZ's drowning rate is twice that of Austraila's – pretty scary. Surf Life Saving needs your help to bring this figure down!  

Last year it was National Jandal Day first year and it raised over $260,000 for Surf Life Saving in New Zealand.
This years funds will go to go towards supporting Surf Lifeguards by:

-Purchasing essential rescue equipment and Surf Lifeguard    training .

-Extending our services to meet the growing needs of the community.

-Increasing Surf Life Saving’s commitment to public education.

So guys, have fun and remember to show your support for National Jandal Day by wearing your jandals to school.
